Sea Urchins in Hattiesburg, Ms runs a day trip out of Gulf Port to the rigs on Saturdays. I think Jim charges around $100. Not bad.

I'll have to check in on that. Leave the fam at the casinos, and spend my $100 on a dive trip!

Hey Easy Rider........South Tim should be pretty nice about now. How big is the boat. If you can make to ST 130 and beyond you will have great trips. Also the GI blocks from 43AA on out are nice and never pass EW 305 without a closser look. That has always been a nice rig to me. The water there is a bit deeper (400'ish) and there is a nice drop out to the Canyon from there.
As an aside, We are going to PCB on the 3rd - 5th of August to get my oldest daughter certified. We are hitting Vortex (if it is strait) and then the normal wrecks on Saturday and Sunday. It will be a non spearing trip (a rarity for me) and I am looking forward to just blowing some bubbles.....It also helps that I am knocking a Divemaster weekend in the process.

Not sure how straight you are wanting Vortex to be, but the algae blume is under control with gin clear visibility again - after the silt from OW classes settles. I dove it Saturday night and it was better than the last few years I've dived it - LOL. As for the feud onsite, its still in progress... but has some advantages.

Whats going on Matt. Thanks for the info. I was hoping it would clear up. We may go down early on Thursday night and make a dive on Friday morning before the class gets there...so I can at least see it clear. Last time I was there is was a bit murky from the classes...but we made a night dive and 10pm and it was nice...Later..Robbie
