Lots of sites to dive in Malibu. http://www.sandeaters.org and then go to dive sites for most of the places up that way I have dove. Also Scheklers book on California Diving would be a good investment.

Give a call and we will schedule a dive.

Point Dume has some nice diving if you don't mind paddling for 15 minutes. But in general, I'd say Malibu is to Catalina what a quarry is to the ocean :D

Malibu = cheap but could be good

Catalina = expensive but could be fantastic

sites

Leo Carillo and Deer Creek - actually north (west?) of Malibu

Pt. Dume

Escondido Creek

El Matador

Big Rock (where the GW was spotted)

lots of good free diving

the reason I posted this because my buddy and I dive about 4 times a week before work in Malibu, all the way from Topanga to Ventura and we never see other divers. We wanted to know where everbody is diving. I say we plan a big bug dive for all the locals on the scubaboard.
