The OP said they do mostly quarry diving so they're probably used to colder temps.
By comparison, I am from Canada. I am used to cold weather, freezing rain and the occasional blizzard. That does not mean that this is what I am looking for when I go on vacation.:)

I go to Canada for my dive vacations. To each their own, I guess.

I am in agreement with Hoag. This Canadian is looking out at +/- 2" of snow right now and dreaming of my mid Dec trip to Bayahibe, DR.
