Hello, I am going to La Romana, DR in May and then to Rincon, Puerto Rico, which has better diving? Should I do more diving in one place over the other? Also, on another note, I have read that safety can be an issue in the DR, should I rent a car or arrange for transport? Is it safe to travel around and explore? Should I bring my gear with me? Any answers to my questions would be greatly appreciated.
