Hi Dave,

Patrice was telling me tonight he expects Coco Loco to reopen mid December, bigger and better and back with a vengence, now I'm worried for my brain cells!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

I am heading for Honduras in mid January and thinking about spending 6 days on Utila before heading to Cocoview on Roatan to meet some friends. It has been over 4 years since my last visit to Utila. Can anyone tell me if there are a lot of changes? I stayed and dove from Utila Lodge last time; thinking about the Mango Inn this time. Any advice? I am a woman traveling alone, experienced diver.

I agree with Steve and Andy,
If anything the hurricanes helped the reef around Utila. We were experiencing a bleaching event in the months leading up to the hurricanes. The rain dropped the water temp by a few degrees and clouded up the water which protected the corals from excessive water temps and Ultra-violet radiation.
Enjoy your visit...
