So I recently moved from Destin, FL up to Memphis TN. Is there any diving in that area? The diving community around Memphis is very small and so the few divers Ive met havent been much help. Theres got to be something, springs, clear lakes, something...Help me out. Thanks

I don't know how far you're willing to travel. There's a Martha's Quarry I've heard of in Tennessee, somewhere outside Nashville, and of course Pennyroyal Blue Springs in Hopkinsville, a town in southwestern KY. I don't know that I'd want to drive all that way to dive them, but then again, if you wanted to take a long weekend and knock out a few quarry dives over 2 or 3 days, well, that's an option. Tennessee has a Dale Hollow Lake some dive, but I don't think it's near you.

I don't know that much about the diving in Arkansas, but perhaps some of the locations there might be of interest.

Richard.

drrich2 and krawlings are correct. Unless you drive to east Tennessee. But with todays gas prices I would not suggest that. Could you just use this for an excuse to drive back to the Panhandle? If I was not so close to Loch Lowe Minn, Philadelphia and Martha's that would be what I would do.

Thanks for the tips. I do go back down to Fl every once in a while, but was hoping to find some spots within an hour or two of memphis. Im in afganastan right now but deffintly plan to look into your guys suggestions when I get back.
