Diving in Sipadan in early 2018

Hello folks, I am planning a trip to Sipadan in the beginning of next year. I am curious to find out if it is safe to dive out there nowadays in terms of personal safety and not referring to diving itself.

I did 2 trips there this year and had no concerns about personal safety. Ask your resort about personal safety and they will be able to tell you of the safety measures in place.
