Diving in San Diego 12/26/-12/31

My girlfriend and I will be in San Diego from 12/26-12/31 (then in LA until 1/5) for our winter break, and we'd love to get in some shore dives. Anyone planning on going out who wouldn't mind us joining? Day or night is fine. I dive in MA, gf in LA area, so both used to cold water shore dives. Would love to get out to LJ shores for at least a dive or two. Also, we'll need to rent tanks and weights (bringing the rest of our gear along), so can anyone recommend a good dive shop? We're also signed up to dive the Yukon and Ruby E with the Lois Ann, but as I said, we'd really like to do some shore dives as well. Happy holidays.

Any reports on how the sites are , i'm in NCSD right now with my gear . Where can i get a nice shore dive in.

Well, we were going to try going out today, but it looked crappy. Send me a PM if any of you are headed out. We're already diving the Yukon on the 30th (morning), so will pass on a night dive. Finally, any suggestions about where to shore dive? Any good online guides?

Absolutely a great link. If the seas clear up, we'll probably head out tomorrow. Any suggestions about which shore dive to try first?

I'll be at LJ Shores around 10AM tomorrow to finish an OW class, and then probably hang around for another dive with the wife.
