My dive buddy is planning a trip back to Philadelphia. He will be there from Oct 2 to the 11th. He says "I will be gone a week, might as well dive when I am gone". Just an an excuse to get wet I suppose :D . He is newly certified with just two dives over his PADI OW dives and has only dived in the Pacific near Catalina and San Diego. He asked me to find some diving info for him. Can anybody recommend a dive site that fits his experience and a good LDS that offers rental equipment. I belive that he would be more than willing to sign up for boat dive or trip through a LDS. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There is New Jersey. Many dive boats only 1.5 to 2.0 hours away.

Then there is Dutch Springs near Allentown, PA. 2.0 hours away.

We have numerous dive shops so without knowing what part of Philly your friend will be staying it is impossible to match him up to a local dive shop.
