Hi everyone!
I'm a fairly experienced diver, but this is my first presence on this site. I'd like to go diving in Tofo, Mozambique (is it really as good as they say for manta rays and whale sharks?) in March or April 2011.
Is it a good time of the year to go there (for the diving)?
Can any one recommend dive operators around Tofo and Barra?
What about accommodation?
Is it realistic to consider combining the diving with a visit to one of the game reserves in the area if I go for three weeks? Any agency there (or elsewhere for that matter; I'd be departing from Eastern Canada) that could organize this?
Thanks for any advice!

Hi Gleves,

I run a dive company called Dive in Style, based in London and am hoping to help you out.
We adore Mozambique and have sent lots of clients there already, but to Marlin Lodge and Vamizi.

The rains can still be quite high in March, towards the end should be fine and April onwards is a great time to visit. It's also highly likely that you will see Manta and Whale Shark between March and April (although not guaranteed of course!).

If you'd like to have a chat about some suggestions, do give me a call on +44 (0)207 978 0505 or email info@diveinstyle.com and hopefully I can help you out. Our sister company, Original Travel could also help you arrange a visit to a game reserve - diving and safari's are a great combination.

Look forward to hearing from you and hope this helps.
Best,
Neill.
