I am going to be in Boothbay Harbor Maine this summer. Can anyone recommend any good diving in that area?

The Mighty Thor,

I'm from the southern part of the state and you can read about many of our local sites here.

The Rachel Carson Salt Pond in a must do day of diving. two dives can be enjoyed there but you want to center them precisely around high tide. GPS: 43.879733,-69.483853 This same Web site lists a number of other mid coast sites.

Getting a copy of Jerry Shine's book is a good investment.

If you have time to venture up the coast the Acadia region is awesome. We are returning there this summer.

If you find yourself wanting to dive between Cape Elizabeth and Kittery, let me know and maybe we can hook up.

Networking with the Maine-iac Divers is also a good move. They also have a Yahoo Group.
