Hello

Thinking of going to Indonesia in Octoer but not sure where to go. Would like to see large pelgics but have also heard that there is very good 'muck diving' there. I have never done that so that also might be fun.

Does anyone have any ideas on where to go for great diving and good operators or liveaboards.

Am advanced diver with approx 150 dives. Will be going by myself.

Any info really welcome.

thanks

Naomi

Last year I visited Bali, Komodo and north Sulawesi. My trip report could give you some ideas (click the link for Bob & Cheng's Excellent Indonesian Adventure).

For muck diving, I can heartily recommend KBR (Kunkungen Bay Resort) in Lembeh Straits.

There's so much to choose from in Indonesia but trying muck diving is a must.

Perhaps N. Sulawesi would be the best option as you could combine the wall diving in Bunaken with the muck diving of Lembeh (two different sides of the same island).

I visited both earlier this year and wished I had more time there (the main focus of my trip was Raja Ampat - also fantastic but pretty pricey). Check out my trip report for more info: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/in...at-trip-report-12th-feb-8th-march-2009-a.html

There's loads of posts on the different dive operators in the area - no real need for a liveboard there.
