Hello,
Pretty soon I'm heading back down south on a business trip to Huntsville, Alabama. I'll be there from September 9th-15th.

Does anyone have any recommendations or experience on diving in the area? Is there anything available or any good dive shops? I googled and found one. I'm interested in night diving, if possible or I can do afternoon/ weekend days.

Sep 15th is the scheduled night dive and live entertainment at Dive Land Park in Glencoe AL (about 80 miles south east of Huntsville). Really neat quarry with lots to look at--from sunken boats to sunken 18 wheeler truck body...max depth about 140 visibility is usually pretty good at 15-30 feet; temps vary from near 80 on the surface to a balmy 56 degrees near the spring vent.

https://www.facebook.com/#!/DiveLandPark check them out on facebook; I think it is $20 TO DIVE and $5 for the night dive & entertainment.

John runs a great operation there with some rental gear, air fills and lots more!

Have fun, stay wet,
Mike

Madison Quarry and Better Diver SCUBA Training and Equipment 10 minute drive from HSV

They have a Thursday night dive on Septh 6th. ($15 entrance I think).
otherwise they are open weekends. All day entrance on the weekend is $20 or $25. cash works best.
Good quarry to dive in and is fairly warm for a quarry.
Britt on Scubaboard runs the place. you can PM him. (he's not on much. you can call his phone number on his website). He runs Better Diver shop.

The two other dive shops in town are SDI Scuba on Bob Wallace and Dive Sports in Decatur. Both are full service shops with good inventory.

Bluewater Quarry, aka Dive Alabama in Pelham AL (south of Bham)
Welcome! 2 hour drive south.
deep quarry, multi level, to 140 ft. shallower levels to about 70' or so. damn cold.

Diveland above was already mentioned.
