Diving in Greece ... SOME INFO!!!

The way its working here with dive centres is if the owner is certified by a recognised agency they can teach any courses - you have to have an instructor on the boat who is recognised in greece even if they arent teaching that agency. That way the law isnt broken. The other law hampering some centres are the requirement to still have a greek national, licenced captain on a boat.

Basically at the moment a padi instructor couldnt operate a dive centre just on that but if he has a greek navy or other recognised body instructor card as well he can.

All centres operating here meet the above requirements so are totally covered, licenced and legal. Expect the EUF requirement to be dropped this winter as it serves no purpose other than money making and is hampering trade
