I'm going to be in Charlotte for business in a couple of weeks (most likely the 12-19) and am wondering if folks can recommend a good local dive or two?

Since it's a business trip if I can dive it will have to be some after-work quick dip type thing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

There is a quarry at Lake Norman or it's 4 hrs to the coast. If you are looking to dive the quarry, drop over to the NC board and ask, odds are good someone will join you.

The LNQ is a private quarry (1 of 3) run by the PDRA--I'm a member- if you're here while I'm here (going to FL for a vacation until 12 APR)........Keep in mind it's still cool now, won't warm up til June at least. Unless you're drysuiting.......PM me if needed ;)

I'm just wondering where you are coming from that a trip to Charlotte would suggest a better chance to dive that your home sites? :D

I like to dive wherever I go . . . I'm coming from MN ... I"m pretty sure we've got it better, but that doesn't mean there's not something to enjoy there too.

Cool! You're hard core. :) I'm originally from NC and I don't associate Charlotte with diving and wouldn't drag all my gear to dive there but if you're into lake diving and like to try lakes in whatever part of the country you're visiting I can see the attraction.
