Hi Guys!

Well, I'm back from my weekend in Florida, and looking to make a dive before I go back to 'on-call' status at work. So, Cldwdiver and I are going to make a couple shore dives at Grindstone City on Saturday morning. For those of you without a Michigan map in front of you, Grindstone City is at the VERY tip of the thumb, up the two lane past Port Austin, to the VERY, VERY end of the land. Don't know what we'll find, but anyone in the area is invited to join us. We'll have two or three tanks each, and will be making multiple beach dives. Don't know what there is to see, as neither of us has ever been in there before.

Thought I'd make the offer. We'll be leaving Frankenmuth about 8:00 or so, and should be at the Grindstone City Beach Park right around 10:00 or so...

I think that our Great Lakes area diving is over for the season! :crying2:

Great! Do you know where the beach park/ boat ramp is at the end of the road at Grindstone City? We'll be there. I hear that if you look carefully, you can find examples of the 'elusive' zebra mussle and they have spotted fresh water crayfish in the same area. BRING YOUR CAMERA, we MAY get lucky!!!!

Hope you will let us know if the site is worth the effort. I have seen grind stones in the water while fishing off the bank in that area. But that was quite a few years ago. If I was not so darn far from that area I would join you guys. Should be a great time especially with the number of people showing interest. Hope the gods of clam, clear waters dives with you.

Dive safe, twosheets!

I have no clue where it is but I figured I could find it. take 25 until it ends in Port austin look for dirt road that goes towards the water is what my plan was. Can't bring camera I had to send it in for some repair work I dont think it will make it back in time. Deb said she wants a pumpkin if you have any left over.

Hey this is great! Glad you can attend Ted.

The Zebra Mussel and Crayfish discovery team invades the Great Lakes again. :)

I am really looking forward to doing a little exploration of some new bottom-land.

See you both soon.

My company has decided that 26 straight days of work is enough! I will be thrilled to meet you up there. Say... would an "after dive growler" be in order?

My camera will be there!

Ted,

The road is paved, and there is a sign, on both ends. You just keep following it until you see the sign for the marina and the turn off.

We have plenty of pumpkins, come and get one, on the house. Consider it a present to have you back among the living....
