My daughters and I went up to Newport for the day last Monday, I got in three dives and the girls went snorkeling. I made this video on the first dive (note to self: bring the USB cable to charge camera between dives). The second dive was nothing exciting, I was running down a partly filled tank for a friend of mine, but the third dive was amazing. I did a night dive at Ft Wetherill. The lobsters and crabs were out and about in a way they never are during the day and I saw a single squid puttering around in about 20 fsw, the first squid I ever came across in open water. It had its tentacles up in a defensive posture when he was caught in the light and jetted a foot when I touched him.

The video below was filmed just outside the cove you see pictured my cover pic. Not the best camera work, but its hard to handle the camera and do stuff underwater with the other while having the water push you around.

Good dive and video Rich! You hit a pretty good day, much better than the dive Faith and I had there. Next time Faith and I will go with you, maybe we'll have a better dive! :)
