A have dreamt of free oysters while getting my open water certificate, but they seem to be hard to find here in Massachusetts. Does any one have any information on locations of oyster beds and legal regulations here in Mass?

I can't really see the point of diving for oysters when most of the ones I'm familiar with live in the intertidal zone fairly high up the beach. Then again, I live in the PNW and I suppose our oysters are different than your own.

Over here, we're required to shuck them in place on the beach so as not to kill any fry that are attached to the shells. Doing so underwater would cause you to lose the juice from the oysters.
