For the first time this summer I started experiencing spots on my face.
Quite deep and full of blood not really any yellow crap coming out.
I thought this had to do either with the pressure inducing ingrown air or with some bacteria. So I started washing and disinfecting the mask every time I was out teaching.
Things do get worst when I am on boats and I use the rinse tanks on the boat which makes me think water quality may be an issue.
Another factor could be the heat as in Egypt in the summer is over 40 C and it is my first summer season.
I use an Atomic mask since two years now and I got it replaced this year so I would exclude the mask from the factors
Any idea of what this can be or anybody experienced similar problems?

i have a similar problem in my armpit area after diving deep, but no idea what the deal is

A photograph would be useful. Are the spots in a distribution related to where your mask sits on your face? Do they appear immediately after a dive, or come on later? How long do they last? Are they painful, or itchy? There simply isn't nearly enough information here even to guess at what they might be. Other than skin bends, there are no pressure-related skin ailments of which I am aware, and skin bends are generally not reported on the face. Immersion skin softening and exposure to bacteria might produce some kind of rash, but it would be rare to have that be a reliably recurrent phenomenon.

The spots are in the mask area, mostly where the mask actually touches the face
Not itchy at all, hence I think it is not an allergy. They are quite deep and if depressed come out with red blood.
The spots do not appear immediately seem to take a night or so.
I spare you the picture for now but maybe I send it later on
