My wife & I will be onboard the Jewel of the Seas in Jan (25th) & I understand all cruise ships are using tenders to get ashore. We plan to do a 2 tank dive as we have almost all day. Any suggestions as to the most convenient op to get to Santa Rosa Wall ???

Many dive Op's will let the divers choose the dive sites, with a majority usually making the call. If you and your wife are 2 out of 6 divers on the boat either you'll have to persuade the other 4 or go where they want. If they are staying on the island and are diving all week with the OP, that will also give their opinion more weight.

check out PapaHogs Scuba
give them a call and tell them your dates and that you want to dive Santa Rosa Wall. They will take care of you. Great op with small boats and A+ customer service.

Cozumel is using tenders?? They have two large docks. Did the Hurricanes take them out?

Try sanddollar sports.I dove santa rosa wall with those guys.they told me to book with them direct next time to save money. The cruise lines get a cut of the shore tour cost.Wish i was going too.

You can't book with them directly if they are your cruise ship's dive excursion provider.

Wife and I just returned froma cruise to Coz. We did not get to dive because of weather. The port authority would not let boats go out the ONLY day we were there in port. SO we did not get to dive. It was only a 4 day cruise and Coz was our only stop. Even so, we were there at 6am but it was 8 before we got off the ship and 8:25 before the tender got us to the pier. The dive operator schedule was that the boat left at 8:30. We raced to the shop only to be told no diving today. The seas were 6 to 8 feet in Coz that day. The tenders were having trouble.
Now I have to find somewhere esle (cheap) to go dive. Come on IRS with a big return!
Only reason we went on that cruise was we got it for $426 for 2 people, and that was ALL taxes and port charges included. Heck, could not pass it up for that price.

What date were you in coz? They told us that the day before we arrived, all the diving had been cancelled. I dove Coz on the 20th. Where did you find that great a price for a cruise?

I dove Cozumel over Thanksgiving with Scuba With Alison, she let us choose our sites and was considerably cheaper than the Cruise ship excurions. Actually the Cruise ship excursions all got cancelled due to the water being a little choppy but we still got to dive.
