A group of us looking at the Kona Aggressor for trip next year. We like to get away from cold during winter months. Aggressor said diving best May-September, but of winter months, January is probably best. Some say water is too cold then. Has anyone done any diving there during that time of year, and what did you think?

Thanks

The winter swells (predominately from the NW) will be picking up that time of year. You can
expect water temperature around 75F.

It's not a bad time to dive, just not as good as, say Sept / Oct (which IMHO are the two best
months around here).

The Agressor goes far enough south that sometimes they're far enough away from the source
of the NW swells to not be as affected by them.
