Does anyone have advise about diving Catilina? I am planning a dive trip and would like feedback. Thanks

If you have any specific questions after reading that, feel free to PM me. I've lived and dived here for 39 years.

Do it you'll love it! I went off casino point last week. It was a wonderful dive. The folks in town are friendly and willing to help you.

I had started a thread out of concern about the physical nature of the dive. There have been a couple of serious incidents at Casino Point to include 2 fatalities. I was wondering if I might be biting off too much by attempting to dive there. I was advised by folks here that it is an easily doable dive. They were right. I have discovered that I need to plan MY dive. I read the accidents and incidents section a bit too much. I need to be a safe diver, but if I follow my plan and practice my skills, I need not let fear override the fun.

Go and enjoy!

The two recent deaths in the dive park appear to be health related, although I have not heard the definitive answers from the coroner's report.

The Casino Point dive park is a heck of a lot "safer" than some of the mainland shore dives, at least for a fairly new diver. It is approved for preliminary water work by some certification agencies. Heck, even I can dive there!
