Originally, I was going to be at LAX for more than 12 hours, which meant I had to collect my checked luggage and check it again for my next flight. Then i worked with them to jiggle the flights, so I was there just under 12 hours - so I could check my luggage all the way through to the final destination. But then, a few weeks later, they changed the schedules and I was back over 12 hours. So, I explained the situation, said I didn't want to carry all this heavy luggage around, and asked if, since they changed the schedules on me, if they would please put me on the more direct flight. I didn't think they would since, although the wallet price is the same, I used miles, and the direct flight required an additional 25,000 miles. But, they did it. So, after all was said and done, I ended up with the best possible flights, using the smallest number of miles - and now I don't have to go through LAX at all (:

Get away from the LAX area quick! Don't walk around at night, don't make eye contact with any of the resident mutantrs. They fence in the bad people, if you notice along Century Blvd, they have very high security fences to keep the locals IN! Away from the passing tourists.

Drive to Redondo Beach and go dive there. There is an old underwater pier with decent viz. That's my suggestion.
