I have to attend a family reunion this weekend at Lake Tawokani east of Dallas and I was wondering if there was any good diving there. I have never been there and I have not been able to make my last two planned dive trips so I am having scuba withdrawls. Thanks!

From what I have heard, Tawokani is really shallow and bad viz for divers. But good for pleasure boating and fishing.

However, Clear Springs is not all that far (less than 20 miles), so perhaps you could sneak off and head there.

My family has had barges docked on Tawakoni for years and all we ever do there is fish mostly. The swimming is kinda yucky unless you're out in the middle. I wouldn't want to try to dive there. Do like Mike says and visit CSSP if you can. I was there last weekend and it was great! Whatever you do, have fun! :tongeout:
