I am going to Ocala near the end of August. I was wondering if anyone could recommend local places to dive and perhaps a LDS to provide some knowledge and tanks.

Thanks,
S

There are some springs dives in North Central Florida like Paradise that is just south of Ocala.

However, I suggest looking in Ned DeLoach's "Diving Guide to Underwater Florida" that lists both salt AND freshwater sites. It's a great resource.

Devil's Den is just outside Ocala in Williston and Paradise Springs is near Ocala as well. You could go north just a bit and dive at Ginnie Springs as well. Oh and I almost forgot, Blue Grotto is somewhere near there too.

Hal Watt's 40 Fathom Grotto. I had a couple of dives there with NetDoc and TexasMike before Wreckmania. Interesting with all the "toys" that have been placed there, and the natural formations.
