Clearinghouse? DAN is more like a factory with expert craftsmen inside who actually produce their own information and "know the business" environment with all that is going on in the marketplace. DAN is made of onsite medical experts with a specific understanding of dive physiology.

Most blood bank people I know are great people but not dive experts. DAN represents both.

DAN spends a lot of marketing effort carving out a niche in the business world. They have been pretty successful in growing their information and coordination businesses. They have even done a pretty fair job of developing a decent insurance sales business.

But I don't ever recall them claiming to be Blood Bank experts. But, maybe you work for, or are associated with, DAN and can speak for them? If so, I'll modify my opinion.
