I just had the same problem with mine on the fourth outing Closed int clean and carefully and it leaked like a sieve and wrote off my iPhone.
I tried it again today with the dead phone as a blank so as not to leave the membrane unsupported. Leaked again. Then I filled the case with water closed it and applied pressure to the membrane but can't find a leak. Its a mystery???

I ultimately discovered that there was a chip out of the glass hidden by the metal frame. Not sure what caused it, I suspect something happened in the boat on the surface.
