diverkid:
can we go dive in their aquariums??? That would be nice

Yep, you actually can, if you volunteer. I did it for three years, dove the big tropical exhibit every week (probably 2.5-3 hours of bottom time), the Cali. exhibit and the sea lions,

Need Rescue cert, 50 dives, pas physical, dive test, and give 4 hours per week (they have nite crews as well, which is what I did)

Chris,
Your post has definitely peaked my interest. I've recently relocated to San Pedro and I meet the requirements you mentioned. Can you provide any details on how to volunteer.

Thanks,

Steve

Steve- gp to the Aquarium's website and look under volunteer opportunities. There should be a number to call.

Less that a month, this was a good time last year, lots of groups with displays. If you have a non-diver that you wish to turn into a diver, this is an excellent intro.

Sounds like a trip to the mainland is in order (even though I just returned from 8 weeks in Belize, Honduras and Florida). Attended last year and enjoyed it.

Anyone else going?
