This is the first I heard about it. Why would anyone snorkle in Lake Natoma?? The vis is <5' anywhere!! Tragic if it's true... but I didn't hear anything.

Lake Natoma is a good place for diving on a low-flow day, but snorkeling is pointless.

guys i am going off of the report i heard on the radio this morning( news 105.1 country) and they have not determined if this person was a diver or a snorkler, and i have heard no more info on it , but i do believe this story is a fact but i cant find anymore info on it, as i was saying!!! dont know

Maybe a board sailor? Jet skier? Waterskier? They all wear wetsuits.

I've seen swimmers and kayakers in lake Tahoe wear them as well. If there isn't any equipment found, I'd guess he was a swimmer.

Wow...what a bummer...that is very sad.

I dive there often when the flow is lower. It's a good place to take my daughter for easy dives. We also kayak Negro bar often and did on Saturday. The water was moving fast through there Saturday.

I have seen long-distance swimmers on the lake in wet suits, but they are usually in the lanes near the Nimbus Flats area.

Very sad.
