Kristina, as you can tell, we are all very happy to see you are back and diving again. My continued prayers that you get the kidney transplant as soon as possible. Welcome to Scubaboard.

Kristina,
What a wonderful story of perseverance and amazing constitution. I am so happy that everything has worked out so far for you. And congratulations on getting back into diving, way to go!

You are an inspiration!

Congratulations on your wonderful recovery!! I wish you much luck with your transplant!
To all my fellow divers: Please be an organ donor! You never know when and where it may matter.

Kristina,

Thanks for sharing your story. One of my first dives as a newby was Monastery, back in ’94, along with another newby. The fact that we didn't end up in a situation like yours is purely the grace of God.

I think your story emphasizes the importance of site research in dive planning, something I knew nothing of then, and am still learning now.

May God continue to be with you.

I am always wow'ed and amazed at the power of pray, the mercy of God and the ability of the doctors, nurses and other specialists involved in such a recovery.

Will pray that your opportunity for the kidney comes soon.

Be encouraged adn keep encouraging others!!

Jeff

There are some things in life that can only be referred to as miracles and your recovery is definitely one of them. I have personally witnessed a miracle but will save it for a more appropriate venue. May God continue to bless you and I pray for a kidney to become available for you. I must also agree with ffestpirate, please be an organ donor, there are literally thousands of people just like Kristina who need our help once we've passed away.

Amazing story Kristina!! So glad that you pulled through this. It's very inspiring that after all you went through, that you still continue to dive, that's awesome!!! I'll bet the first thing you asked the Doctor when you woke up was "are my ear drums ruptured?" "No? , so then I can still dive right?" :D

A true diver all the way.....

Good luck and best wishes on your continued recovery and many wonderful dives in your future....:14:
