I'm a Fish!
She does not dive, I do.

Looking for a nice place in this area that will balance out for both of us.

Want to dive probably daily yet do the couple stuff.

She wouldn't mind somewhere that is remote, quiet but beautiful at the beach/hotel/resort.

Looking for some recommendations for this coming spring 2011.

Balance is the key and of course the availability of a dive buddy.

Hi
I have a similar problem but my wife will snorkel. So we'll snorkel together and I work around our itinerary and dive. Depending on the place I'll rent a wet suit for her. It's a balancing act or a juggling act making sure everyone's happy. You'd be surprised how much you can see just skin diving!
Enjoy your trip

I would definitely check out Little Cayman Beach Resort.

A balanced vacation for dive non-diver couple ? Don't understand the recommendations for Little Cayman. What non-diving activities are there on Little Cayman ?

Swimming, fishing, snorkeling, sun tanning, shelling, picnicking, bird watching, tennis, drinking, dining, kayaking, biking, feeding really big iguanas, sunrises, sunsets, grilling and reading Clive Cussler books. I usually just take a nap in a shady hammock.

I'm in the same boat-my SO is not a diver.
Our requirements: a place that is safe for her to do her thing-tour, shop, hang out by the pool (in the shade!!); me to do my thing-dive (no kidding); and us to do our thing-[we're not big eaters drinkers or "partiers", so these may seem boring to others] dinners together, quiet evenings, perhaps a trip to the casino (if there is one),then early to bed.

We've found: Bermuda, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Aruba, Nassau meet these conditions.
(casinos in Aruba and Nassau)

Grotto bay beach resort in Bermuda offered plenty for my non diving (then) girlfriend.

The diving on Little Cayman is awesome.

Just make sure your non diving spouse is aware the island is 10 miles long, 1 mile wide, restaurants are limited to the 3 separate hotels, shopping is limited to the 3 hotel gift shops, population is 115.
