That's true enough. A hang tank of O2, or even air could have prevented this.

Have you ever eaten goeduck? It's like the lobster of the clam world. Hard to come by, sweet and delicious.
But, I had no idea how dangerous the diving was. I'd always heard of people digging them at low tide.

You can have all my gooey duck, Tracy. I've been known to dig a clam from time to time, but I'm just not that secure with my sexuality to put that thing in my mouth.

They can dig down 3 feet in the mud. China buys 95%...

Any time there's an Asian delicacy you're safe to assume it's utterly cruel, wasteful, and somehow connected to making a small dick bigger.
 
There have been three serious incidents involving the clams recently. One death, one more maybe.
I had an incident with a geoduck clam just last weekend. $80 and the clam disappeared in the blink of an eye. The only trace was my wife's smiling face. :D
