Diver Accident Death

Hi Everyone-I did not put the dive op out there because they just needed to breath a bit. I hope you understand.
The dive op is Scubamau. Please understand the divemaster is suffering greatly and I will leave his name out for now. He did an amazing job of recovery on the water and at beach side. His efforts with the diver where heroic. He takes blame that is unwarranted. I wish him strong recovery, as anyone cant attest that has had death around them it is to say the least difficult to come back and be normal in your job that you love and love the people that dive with you. My friend get strong.
I have been given information that the diver had a respiratory attack thus suffering the breathing distress resulting in his rapid assent. I would assume panic set in and he held his breath.
I have been told that the daughter is an amazing young person in the way she is upholding in the tragic event, please be considerate in statements, as I know all will. The complete details will be forthcoming as the dive community needs to learn from these tragic occurances. Let us leave hope and prayers for the family until that time. Thankyou kevin.

I hope the DM doesn't beat himself up too badly over this. There's no way to stop someone from bolting unless you're within grabbing distance.

We just left Cozumel yesterday! I am so sorry to hear this. Our families prayers to the divers family. To those who rendered aid....blessings on your attempt and prayers as well.
