I was wondering if anyone out there has the Casio dep-700c-1 dive watch? I found the titanium model for a good price and am thinking about getting it.

You wouldn't have website links to either of these would you?

Hi usaf diver ,
Check out www.quantumwatches.com , i bought the barracuda 101 it`s got the same fuctions as the citizen aqua land 2 , like dive log , max depth ascent alarm , max limit depth and time alarms , I bought it in corfu for about £150.00 the aqua land was £186 the functions of the buttons are the same on both watches , the only visual difference is the aqua land had an orange dial but i think there available now with dark blue .

Simon :yea:

I have a buddy who dives a hyper aqualand too. I admit it's a great watch, but I had a major complaint. The backlight on it is very poor, just a side light really. It was no where near as good as the indiglo backlight on a $20 timex watch.

I recently bought a Casio DEP-610-C Dive watch at a good price too ($125.00 Plus shipping.) Thhe watch seems to be just like the watch your looking at except it isn't made wit Titanium. I have not had the chace to dive with it yet, however I notice that the paint is coming of the bezal saying Twin Sensor and Log Memory. The alarm feature isnt working for some reason. (May be I'm not setting it right...but I did follow instructions.) The rest of the features seem to work...but so far I have only used it skin diving in a pool with the deepest depth of 12 feet where it read 10 ft. (It was frsh water) so it would be off. I use a computer so this is just a back-up. I'll be sending it back after I check and see how accurate it is diving. The Temp works but when out of the water on your wrist it gives high readings body temp. I guess. The instructions say to expect this. In the pool readings on temp. seemed accurate.

I just got the Timex Helix D-M. Got it for a fantastic price. So far I really like the watch, it is very easy to work with and has a bunch of features. Only complaint............it definitely LOOKS like a dive watch, it is big and pretty heavy.

My wife says it looks like a kids watch. I haven't been diving with it yet but will certainly put up a review of the watch when I do. A buddy of mine uses the Hyper Aqualand and with the exception of the ascent alarm I think the Helix has most of the functions his does. Oh yea it doesn't connect to a PC. Oh well with the $200 I saved buying the Helix over the Aqualand I will buy some other scuba toys.:)

Cold Water Review Of Helix Dive Watch By Timex

The watch doesn't do well in cold water diving. The coldest I have had it was 30F on February 4th 2005. I was diving the bay of fundy. When I got out of the water, I got a low battery warning, so I changed it back to the time and couldn't change to any other mode. I allowed the watch to warm up, and it started reading temperatures of 110-117F in the dive track, and Dive Chrono mode. About 3h after the dive the Low battery warning went away, the temperature readings corrected, but now the watch no longer lights up. I have been trying, but the back light won't come on. Also, Checked the temp read outs last night, getting a "Lo" error, then a "HI" Error.

So if your looking to purchase a Timex Helix Dive watch, I don't recommend it for very cold water diving.. anything less then 42F.

PS, It still timed the dive, and kept track of my max depth.
