i have recently lost my dive watch and need a new one. i need some suggestions on a watch that is lesss then 50 dollars but can accomadate depths of 70 feet.

Scout the local Wal-Marts. Time Helix DMs are still surfacing for $20. Dandy item for the money. Multiple dive moard including auto start/stop, depth and temperature. Search formums for Helix to learn more. Orignal price was something like $125!

Casio makes a couple watches that might fit that price range. I have a G-Shock rated to 200 meters that I got for about that price. Not sure of the model though.

I know a lot about watches, and you can find a decent quartz model for $70 or less, Wal Mart is a good option actually, as is Walgreens, Target or Sams. If you would like, you could find a good used model for less than $70. PM me, and I can recommend some options.

I 2nd Wallyworld or K-mart tons of watches for less than $20.00 just have them set the dang thing!
I buy all my back up watches from the big K or wally world, len's gets funky, batt goes low, band gets worn toss it! no need for a $3000.00 Navigator!

My ex wife put over 500 dives on her Shark watch and last I heard it was still working after 16 years. She paid less than $20 for it.

I use a Timex "Reef Gear" watch. Rated to 200M. I'm sure it doesn't cost too much. Of course my Father-in-law is an engineer at Timex so I get LOTS of $0 watches. ;)

Timex Helix or Timex Expedition.
