Does anyone know of a place in the greater SF Bay Area where I can bring in a Tag and/or Citizen Aqualand dive watch to get the batteries replaced and have it pressure tested as well? I know I can sent them off to their respective manufacturers repair centers, but I am up against a short time frame, and was hoping to find one place for both watches.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I can't help you but you might try posting on this site to get more responses: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ba_diving/

Vaqueros Del Mar is the big dive club in Livermore.

One of their members might be able to tell you about the local dive stores.

Walnut Creek would be your next best bet. If not there, then San Jose or San Francisco. The yellow pages under scuba may give you the stores' contact information.

I saw Citizen dive watches on sale at Splash Aquatics in Santa Clara, but that store has since closed down, and the owner now has a new store in Walnut Creek. I don't know the name of it, however. So you will need to search.

The owner of the ba_diving site tries to keep it up to date, but I don't know if he has taken Splash off his list, and put the new store in Walnut Creek onto it, yet.

Check out a watch repairman in your area. There's really nothing special about dive watches, I had a regular watch repairman change one for me once.

I ended up at a jewelers in the <shudder> mall that carried both Citizen and Tag, and had a local pick-up repair service that can do pressure testing. I'll let you know the results, hopefully in a week.

Thanks for all the responses.

I know that California Dive Center (peninsula) works with a watch specialist to do battery replacement and pressure testing. As far as I know, they do all brands of watches. You might want to check with them to make sure. www.cadive.com

JMHO....

There is a watch repair shop in Concord that does both! It is called the Watch Zone. Had mine done last week for about 30 bucks-battery and test.
