I'm just wondering if anyones taken a nice dive vacation down south. I'm heading down to miami for a trip on Black Beards Cruises, to the bahama's. I'm so excited to get down there and have a whole week to do nothing but diving, and maybe spend the week talking like a pirate, matey. Ah vast, Shiver me timbers. YO HO YO HO A Pirates Life For Me.

Yeah, I had a great time on a liveaboard in the Gulf of Mexico, diving on Flower Garden Bank. Several of us from NELD took a trip to Florida a couple of years back for some reef diving and a day on the LSD-32 USS Speigel Grove... that was also fantastic. Probably the furthest "down south" I've been diving was in New Zealand in '99, when I dove the wreck of Greenpeace's flagship 'Rainbow Warrior'.

Tomorrow, I'm leaving for a week in the Western Caribbean, diving in Cozumel, Cancun, Belize, and Roatan.

Hey Matt, that was only a year ago. I guess this past year went doubly long one for you. I agree, the dive on the Speigel Grove was fantastic. Have a happy New Year!!

I wish I could head out on a nice dive vacation right now, especially since I'm at work and I'm looking outside and its snowing. I'm sure you'll have a great time in the caribbean. I've only got 64 more days until I end up going on my trip, but hey hows counting anyways.
