My youngest was certified at age 12 and has been diving two full seasons. She is almost 14.
Recently, she went to a party with other kids her age and the decision was made by the group to crawl through a hole in a fence in the neighborhood (the party was in) and walk the railroad tracks. This was after dark and there were no flashlights.
When she got up to the tracks with the group, she said that her thought was - if this were a dive I'd call it cause it's just not safe.
She left the group and returned back to the house (another girl joined her) much to their mouthing off of the group.
Anyhow, one of the kids that went on was seriously hurt in a fall.
We never know where that risk assessment and positive training that you should call the dive if uncomfortable will help !
