Assuming conditions are favorable in Monterey, I'm hoping to dive either Saturday or Sunday. I don't have a buddy for this weekend so if anyone is interested please let me know.

Thanks,

It's still early to forecast, and I'm not sure if I'm reading the swells predictions correctly, but Saturday is starting to look like a bruiser. I'm holding out for Sunday though...

I'll be there saturday. I've got to finish up a DM class.

I'm not looking forward to it though, pebble beach pro am is in town

.SAT...N WINDS 5 TO 15 KT...BECOMING NW. WIND WAVES 1 TO 3 FT. NW
SWELL 10 TO 12 FT.
.SUN...NW WINDS 10 TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES 2 TO 4 FT. NW SWELL 10 TO 12
FT.

Both days are about the same and over my maximums, but within the range of possibility to
improve enough. Saturday Linda and I are doing the Northern California Oceans Foundation
gig on the USS Hornet in Alameda. Sunday, well, get up at 5 am Sunday and check the forecast.

The AT&T shouldn't be a problem. Most divers arrive before the gallery arrives (which parks at
Ft. Ord and transfers to buses), and leave before the gallery leaves.

Saturday should be clear. I was thinking about checking out Butterfly House since it's a pretty well protected entry from a NW swell and I haven't dove this spot yet. We shall see.

Butterfly house is really nice especially when it is very calm (Yosemite underwater). It could be a difficult dive from shore(possibly dangerous) when the condition is not right.

Saturday I'll be with Chuck in Alameda aboard the USS Hornet for our "Making Ships 2 Reefs a Dream Come True" event.

Sunday I'll be at Pt Lobos Diving. If it's calm enough, I'll go back into the Caverns and do more video.

Here's the forecast for Monterey Bay for the Sat and Sun

.SAT...NE WINDS 5 KT...BECOMING NW 5 TO 10 KT IN THE AFTERNOON. WIND WAVES 1 FT OR LESS. NW SWELL 4 TO 8 FT AT 12 SECONDS. .SAT NIGHT...NW WINDS 5 KT. WIND WAVES 1 FT. NW SWELL 5 TO 9 FT. .SUN...W WINDS 5 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 2 FT. NW SWELL 4 TO 8 FT.

This seems perfectly doable to me?
Warm and sunny with almost no wind.

Unless I misunderstood CT last week - aren't we supposed to be watching "PIGEON POINT TO POINT PINOS TO 20 NM" ?
Which reads:
SAT
N WINDS 5 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 3 FT. NW SWELL 9 TO 11 FT
AT 12 SECONDS.

SAT NIGHT
N WINDS 5 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 3 FT.
NW SWELL 9 TO 11 FT.

SUN
NW WINDS 10 TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES 2 TO 4 FT.
NW SWELL 7 TO 9 FT.

Not quite as good. We are still hoping to be down diving on Saturday though.

That's what I do (use Pigeon Point to Pt Pinos) and use it as a general guide.

Sunday looks better than Saturday.
