Off a bit on my part. Facility I work pays my fees and insurance$274 for renewal if you do automatic renewal otherwise it is $319.
That's SDI, not PADI.$170 yearly for member dues.
Thanks for your help, I understand the appropriate part but that’s for deep water entry. I am looking for deep water exit in cw. The closest I found was « exit using the most appropriate technique »
That's some good pointers, If I go with the appropriate CW deep exit, I think I will just go with taking off fins and going up the ladder. Unless told other wise this is what we always do anyway.Ah, so sorry, I misread your earlier post. It's possible that your CD made a mistake in the title of your assignment, there is no CW performance requirement specifically called "deep water exit". The closest I could find which your pointed out is on CW dive 2, performance requirement 17 (page 59) -- "Exit using the most appropriate technique (buddy assistance allowed)". Again, the same comments I made regarding "appropriateness" apply. Hopefully at this point you should have some idea of appropriate exits in various circumstances. Shore diving for example you can remove your fins and wade out with gear on. Small boats you may take everything off and hand to a DM while on larger boats you may just take off your fins and use a ladder. If your assignment is specifically "deep water exit", and that's not a mistake, I would assume you could prepare something like either of the latter. In confined water, this is essentially any exit in water too deep to stand (basically not just taking off fins and walking out the stairs -- though the actual performance requirement does not prohibit this). One idea may be to have buddy teams work together to assist with removing gear in the pool and climbing out one at a time, etc.
Should of done the online dive theory during divemaster course. Expect to spend close to $3,000 all said and one, then around $700 for insurance every year, and another around $170 yearly for member dues. It can be worth it all if you work for a busy dive center. If not at a busy dive center then it may take years if you ever recoup your expenses.
Can you be more specific about what this is?I'm was recommended to buy a package that included online class manuals that stay up to date automatically.
It is extremely useful to have a copy of the same manual your students will be using. It helps you answer questions, direct them to where to find something, lets you know what material you might want to supplement. That's a good price even if you don't think you'll need all of them. I would not want freediver for example, but the other five are useful...at 25 CAD each. There seems to be some new instructor special like 125$ cad for 6 elearning manuals, ow,aow, rescue, freediver, équipement spécialiste, reactivate.
