Dive the Coast members did their first test dive in October to see how far we could get on a single tank of air. We called the dive after encountering a mass of jellies, but we were averaging about 2 mph!
We're planning more test dives the third Saturday of every month starting with Jan. 21, and all are welcome. We're going off the Silver Prince in Monterey, so to reserve a spot, call (831) 204-0539.
These test dives will lead up to the big Dive the Bay event we're planning June 8-11. Divers from around the state, including a large contingent from LA and San Diego, will be coming up to help us cover the entire Monterey Bay.
