Triton Bay for late Dec on LOB Dancing Wind?

I dove on the MV Ambai - the trip I did was their South Raja - Triton Bay 13 day one. It's not the most expensive option, but it's pricier than the Dancing Wind from what I can see.

I have nothing but praise for the entire trip - their dive set up, support staff, food, guides, etc were all great. I'd have no hesitation in booking with them again for a different trip (seeing if I can line something up for June/July)!

I would note that I'm new to diving, so in the interests of transparency, I don't have the points of comparison for a liveaboard that others might have. It was better than the 1 other such trip I've done (Komodo).

Hi. We booked Dec 23 itinerary with Dancing Wind. We're 2 novice divers with only 100 dives. Did Raja with Teman liveaboard last Christmas and loved it.

We do a "big trip" (about 2 weeks+, usually including an LOB) from US East Coast around Christmas/New Year to dive at more exotic destinations. Here are our questions:
1) We've always been very interested in diving Triton Bay, but is late Dec a good time to dive there? I remember reading about some visibility issue that around that time of the year.
2) The boat, the Dancing Wind. No review anywhere online that I can find. Anyone with any experience? I understand that some of the more well known LOBs, Blue Manta, White manta, etc, also go there, but their trip dates do not line up with our planned vacation time.

Wow what a great trip. Simple reach out to local dive shops there with a kind email. Well, if you are booking a hotel there--their staff speak the language and find about any boat in the region--maybe a long shot . These guys linked here are on the high end for luxury but maybe reach out to them as they may know about other tour operators---grey market area but you get an answer if they ante up their email.
