Well, that plus some combination of ego and the thought they can make some money out of it.

New tech agencies tend to be motivated more by the first and second factor, new rec agencies by the second and third.

And Gus (the younger one) also appears to count each time you surface at a sink as a separate dive. Eg, in one video he counts a dive from Orange Grove to Challenge as two dives bc they surfaced in Challenge…
