I have a boat docked in Dana Point, that I have been diving off of a few times. Mostly it's been from the ocean side of shore dive locations in Laguna Beach. Couple trips to Catalina. I'm looking to expand my repertoire. Any recommendations for boat only sites along the coast? GPS coordinates would be nice, but I've got a fairly good collection of charts so relative directions are fine.

On a side note...We are diving Monday, and I have room for one more if anyone is interested. Two tanks Monday morning at 8:00am. Time back depends upon where we go.

How far from Dana Point do You want to go?
How deep do You want to dive?

Very very very tempting .... how is the swells forecast for next Monday?

I've got about a 200 mile range taking into account safety margins. But I don't know that we really want to go 200 miles.:D

Weather underground is predicting 2' swells for Monday. Should be pretty nice.

.....

I hope not :shakehead:

I will be interested to check out any of:
a) deep reef at Emerald Bay - north
b) southern tip of the reef at Heisler park (and adjacent underwater pipe)
c) Southern California Edison 's Kelp Reef Project

I have GPS for all of them (but "c" is quite large).
