hello

i have a few dive site descriptions made by now (100+) from dives in Europe.
originally i they are just for me, but now i think of offering them free for instance to my dive club.

now the question: what do you expect of a dive site descrition? what should be in there?

what i thought:
*name
*place (DGPS coordinates)
*local map
*bearing (for those without gps), with pictures
*a short descritiopn
*depth (max)
*weather (what wind direction is good etc)
*best time to dive there
*worth seeing / seen here
*particular things (for instance where it is the best to anchor, current etc)
*rating (maybe subdivided in fauna/flora difficulty etc)
*maybe LDCs

what do you think, something missing?

regards
Daniel

ok, the risk management is a very good idea...
concerning the level of difficulty, i've thought to put that to rating.

thanks
Daniel

Level of difficulty "numbers values" decrease in an individual's absolute importance with the logging of dives that have similar required advanced skills. Possibly a listing of skill sets required to do this dive would be smart. (Currents, shore entry, fishing activity, debris, etc)

The standard question is always: "what's the water temp?" Well, no actually, it's "what thickness of wetsuit?", but that has no answer.

Welcome to SB, DeepB, I have skiied in the Vorarlberg area (Montafon, Silvretta Nova) many times. Feldkirch and the area are enchanting and uncluttered with skiiers. Good beer, too.
