So I decided to go with MacDive. My problem is that I don't have coordinates for some of my dive sites, and I would like those. Is there a list of common sites that can be found? Am I out of luck until I get back to those sites sometime in the future?

I carry a Garmin gps and drop a pin at the dive sites to plug into Subsurface.

Bing and Google maps can also give you the gps coordinates if you have an idea where you were.

Not sure if this helps you, but the site http://en.divelogs.de has an API to query a large dive site database. I've implemented this into Diving Log 6.0 and users can either search by dive site name or by clicking into a map and searching nearby dive sites. Then they can import the sites into their own logbook database. You can see the feature here on this site.
