snhrph,

Definitely try to get at least one day of diving in a different spot. There is so much to see that it'd be a shame to limit yourself to just East End.

If you have to schedule a day ahead of time and can't do it based on the weather, find a dive operator who can go out of a couple different places such as South Sound (home to Alex777!), SMB or North Sound. That way, regardless of the prevailing winds you'll have the best chance of smoother seas. I know DiveTech and Neptune's Divers can do this, and I believe the Lobster Pot folks and many others can, too.

Richin NC let me try to give you a brief idea of what TNI offers. If you stay at the Inn it has 9 rooms which have kitchens most have oceanviews. They have a pool and large grill. The snorkeling out back is probably the best on island I have seen consistently schools of large 40-60 pound tarpon ,Rays,Baracuda,Grunts, snappers etc.etc..The room are cleaned daily there is a washer and dryer on premise and usually a car is included in the rental package.

If you decide to go with one of the condos they all have 2 bedrooms with a master bath for each bedroom and a powder room on the first floor some have a sleeper sofa on the first floor. All condos are either brand new as of 2007 ,the new ones have stainless appliances ,granite counter tops all new amenities,or completely renovated as of 2006.Also they each have their own washer and dryer, outside deck area, assigned parking space, and their is a pool overlooking the ocean similiar to the Inn's.The condos do not have daily cleaning service unless you request and pay for it.

The Condos are rented and managed by the owners of the Inn ,Alain and Marleine, who bring and old style european flavor .

Things to do in Boddentown:
Pirate caves across the street
Local art gallery across the street
Two jerk chicken places one as you enter Boddentown the other as you leave
Paradise resturant (small local) down the road or beach

Things close:
Botanical gardens 10-15 minute drive
East End 15 minute drive
Pedros castle 10 minute drive
Supermarket 10 minute drive

Things further away:
Rum point 20 minute drive
Georgetown 25-45 minutes depending on time of day traffic

The island is 23 miles long so you can get an idea of what being centrally located means.Obviously you need to try to avoid rush hour traffic both ways.

I usually dive with Peter Milburn ,I like his small operation and he will go anywhere the weather allows.

I know I just glossed over things if you want to ask anymore or talk on the phone let me know and I will PM you my number.

Sunset House is also a nice shore dive site and is one of the closest regular shore dives to TNI. Would be a perfect place for an afternoon/evening dive as the bar there surprisingly enough has a great view of the sunset. Probably not too hard to hook up with a buddy if you ask around.

Very easy to hook up, actually. Lots of divers coming and going up until about 3 PM, then it gets quiet as everybody heads to the bar. I am usually lurking around the rinse tank on Sunday afternoons.
