Dive Shop and Resort suggestions

I have only stayed in Cozumel once and it was at Blue Angel Resort..My boyfriend and I absolutely loved it. He is a photographer and he was very pleased with how he was treated. He was never rushed to move on during a dive, etc...
The rooms were very clean, the food was great (except the bacon, sausage or eggs) and they make good margaritas The staff is so friendly and we loved being so close to the shop that we didn't have to schlep our gear in a cab every morning to go diving. And it was great that all rooms are oceanfront
We are planning on going back to Cozumel in May and we are going to stay at Blue Angel again, for sure!!

Everyone has their preferences when it comes to diving, food, hotel , etc. Personally, I love to stay at the Vista Del Mar. It's a smaller place right in town on the water. They take really good care of you and it's close to everything. For Dive Ops I would have to put a plug in for Dive Paradise. I take groups to Coz alot and they always take good care of us. Aldora does a nice job also, so either will treat you well. Food wise, my favorite little place is Costa Brava. It isn't fancy, but I always get a good meal at a great price, and the service is top notch. The best part about Coz is exploring and trying different things. No matter what, you are still in paradise, so how bad could it be?

I'm with G'dog. I've had the opportunity to dive with a few different ops and they have all been good, but for my money I can't say enough great things about Blue Magic Scuba. Joyce along with her crew, Sandro, Pumbaa, Jorge, Poty, Acha are friendly and oriented to make sure you get what you want. They will go out of their way to make your trip enjoyable and safe. Small, fast sixpacks with no more than 6 to 8 divers on a boat. Leaves a bit later than others so that you can enjoy your breakfast but gets to the southern-most reefs faster than most of the others. Try them, you can't go wrong IMHO.

So we ended up booking at the Occidental Grand, they had a deal too good to pass up. We are still open to a dive shop. The one that Aura, Sabor, and Occidental use is Dive Palancar. They seem to be a decent shop, fast boats, and very reasonable prices. Has anyone had any dealings with them?
