I got 12-inch with elbow to use with my hog harnesses. The 16-inch is very long. However, the 12 can be a little short if you plan to bungee the whole inflator. I just run the inflator hose (not corrugated hose) through a strip of inner tube on the harness just above the D-ring, and 12-inch hoses work very well for that. My DSS wing has a 12-inch hose and I really like it.

I have a trek wing with a 16-inch and it seems way too long.
