I need to pick up a few tools and was wondering if anyone knew what size spanner wrench the Dive Rite RG1208 first stage uses?

Thanks in advance

I found the answer over on The Deco Stop. Apparently it's the same size as an Apeks spanner.

I bought a hinged hook spanner (KAL Model # 7502 Hook Spanner 3/4" to 2 ")on eBay for about $12 shipped. It required a 2 minute modification on my grinder, but it fits a few different sized regulators and is very solid. Here is one like it. KAL Model # 7502 Hook Spanner 3/4" to 2 " | eBay

Also, in this thread a few folks came up with an attractive alternative. An AR15 stock spanner:

see this link for a place to buy one:

Most people that can use a 4 ft pipe wrench could probably open the body of their regulator with their bare hands.

Go to Divegearexpress.com, they'll tell you....Then go to Scubatools.com, they have a good selection of scuba tools...Including spanners w/various size interchangeable 'pins'.......

I just ordered a 3/4-2" adjustable spanner with a 1/8" pin, on sale right now at Enco for $13.99 Enco - Guaranteed Lowest Prices on Machinery, Tools and Shop Supplies. The shipping to Canada is rather expensive, $24.95 via USPS Priority Mail. However, they have other useful and very inexpensive parts for scuba gear that I added to my order for no additional shipping charge. In exchange for diving excursions, I have been supplying a dive shop in Cuba with small parts such as o-rings. I bought sizes 111 and 003 o-rings for $2.12 per bag of 100. Both sizes are the same price and they are 70 durometer Nitrile (they may have 90 durometer also). They also have Viton o-rings. They have 5-40 stainless nylon insert lock nuts for $8.09 per 100 and I added these to my order also. These are used for some 2nd stage poppets. 100 of these is real overkill for my purposes, so maybe I'll sell some of them. The very low price of these other items seems to make the high shipping cost a little more bearable.
